Rumor: Mega Man X DiVE coming to Nintendo Switch?

Fans of the iconic Blue Bomber - and perhaps more specifically, fans of the Mega Man X series - may be excited to know that the latest spin-off of the series, Mega Man X DiVE, may be heading to Nintendo Switch.

For those who don't know, Mega Man X DiVE is a gacha game released for Android and iOS on March 2020 in Japan, and August 16, 2021 for US. Although billed as a spin-off of Mega Man X, the game incorporates characters from the other installments of the series, such as the original Mega Man and Roll from the classic Mega Man games, MegaMan.EXE - and his operator Lan - from Mega Man Battle Network, and MegaMan Volnutt from Mega Man Legends.

Anyway, according to the Mega Man fansite, Rockman Corner, when fans datamined the latest update for the game, they have spotted a few strings of code that refer to Nintendo's line of amiibo.

"w_KEY": "NS_AMIIBO_NO_USE",
"w_CHT": "NS_AMIIBO_NO_USE",
"w_JP": "NS_AMIIBO_NO_USE",
"w_ENG": "NS_AMIIBO_NO_USE",
"w_THA": "NS_AMIIBO_NO_USE"
},
{
"w_KEY": "NS_FILESYSTEM_NOT_SUPPORT",
"w_CHT": "NS_FILESYSTEM_NOT_SUPPORT",
"w_JP": "NS_FILESYSTEM_NOT_SUPPORT",
"w_ENG": "NS_FILESYSTEM_NOT_SUPPORT",
"w_THA": "NS_FILESYSTEM_NOT_SUPPORT"
},
{
"w_KEY": "NS_RESOURCE_ONLY",
"w_CHT": "NS_RESOURCE_ONLY",
"w_JP": "NS_RESOURCE_ONLY",
"w_ENG": "NS_RESOURCE_ONLY",
"w_THA": "NS_RESOURCE_ONLY"

This statement would heavily suggest that a Nintendo Switch port is in the works. As for amiibo compatibility, the game may not have any due to the mention of "NO_USE" and "NOT_SUPPORT", though there could be the slight possibility that they haven't programmed it in yet.

Regardless, keep in mind that nothing is set in stone yet. That being said, another incident similar to this clued in fans that a Steam port of the game was in the works, and a few months later it would end up being proven true, so who knows?

Will you be looking forward to playing Mega Man X DiVE if it comes to Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below!

DuckTales & Darkwing Duck Custom stages in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

You read that right! Today's article is some custom stages based on the various levels on two classic NES games DuckTales, and Darkwing Duck!

For those who don't know, back in the past, Disney hired Capcom to make a game based off of their hit show at the time, DuckTales. In 1989, the game would be released on the NES, with the Game Boy version being released a year later. The game sees Scrooge McDuck traveling to five different worlds to collect five different treasures. Two of the worlds also held a secret hidden treasure that was optional to obtain. The game would later receive an enhanced remake in 2013 titled DuckTales: Remastered.

Capcom would later be tasked with making a Darkwing Duck game later on as well, which released on the NES in 1992, with the Game Boy version being released a year later. The game sees Drake Mallard - better known by his hero alias Darkwing Duck - fighting various criminals throughout St. Canard to stop the evil plans of the vile F.O.W.L. organization. While the game never received a remake, one fan made a mod of the game titled Darkwing Duck Advance, which had a brand-new level, restored an unused bonus mini-game, and included a new boss fight.

The NES version of both games would also be released in the Disney Afternoon Collection, which released in 2017.

But enough about that. Let's get to the actual stages, shall we?

First up is DuckTales, of course! Each stage was taken from a certain area from the game, and was made to resemble it as close as possible! Of course, some liberties were taken, such as the Moon Stage.

If you don't want to watch the video, here are the Stage IDs!

And of course, Darkwing Duck. Just like with DuckTales up above, these stages took inspiration from certain areas from the level they're from.
